Specifically for the Mitsubishi 3000gt SL or Dodge Stealth DOHC (non-abs) / 94-99 (all DOHC Non-Turbo) There are 5 things that our intakes utilize to increase hp: 1. We use straight through mandrel bent piping, decreasing the turbulence and increasing the velocity of the incoming air. which in affect allows for a more clean and efficient burn, which decreases the strain on the motor. 2. Our cold-air intakes take air from the ambient air being rammed into the front bumper of your car, decreasing the temperature of the incoming air to ambient. (Similar to the use of intercoolers in the vr4 model, and in most turbo cars, decreasing the temperature of the incoming air increases hp.) 3. At higher speeds the ramming affect of the force of the air pushing into the front of the car creates a pressure increase in the incoming air, (just like a turbo increases the pressure, the ramming effect does the same, just on a smaller scale), thus increasing the density of the air, allowing for the burning of more gas since there is more air in the cylinders. 4. Our filters are custom made and engineered for every application, and are fully washable, using CAD designing, each filter is size and surface area matched to each application. 5. Our filters feature our "signature" "super-red" filter material that out-flows most all systems on the market, without sacrificing the cleanliness of the incoming air. 5. Our fully polished ALUMINUM finishes not only are visually appealing but contribute to an increase in hp. As many of you know, aluminum conducts very little heat (opposite you exhaust manifolds), and the hand polished finish helps to reflect heat inside your engine compartment, although it costs us much more to use lightweight t6061 aluminum in our piping, we still go with it.
